PHG 2007 Auction

Presentation House Gallery is pleased to announce its 2007 fundraiser on Saturday May 26. This exciting event will be held at Grouse Mountain’s Peak Chalet, and is an evening not to be missed. It’s also an opportunity to show your support for one of Canada’s premier public art galleries, the only one in Canada devoted to showcasing international photographic and media art. The event offers unique and highly collectable historical and contemporary photographic art for purchase, and a chance to add to or even begin your own collection with works hand selected by the gallery’s curatorial team.

The evening will include both a live auction and silent auction, with works ranging in value from $400 - $25,000. The selection of limited edition and unique prints showcases some of the most significant photographers of our time as well as emerging contemporary artists. Historical prints of local interest and classics from the history of photography are also available. Highlights include limited edition colour photographs by a number of renowned local artists, including new work by Stan Douglas, Geoffrey Farmer and Tim Lee, plus vintage prints by John Vanderpant, Fred Herzog and Dick Oulton.

The event will also feature two very special live performances by the Choir Practice, as well as a one-night only screening of Vancouver artist Kevin Schmidt's Burning Bush (2005) in High Definition video in the Theatre in the Sky.
